ISCAR introduces a new modular and adjustable trepanning system for face grooving and trepanning operations. This system is intended for machining centers and lathes.
Trepanning Tool
The new tool is now a standard system that gives unlimited face grooving and trepanning options due to the adjustment ability on a serrated mechanism.
The system features very stiff and rigid properties, and functions at a high level.
Features
The system is designed for HSK 63 and CAMFIX C6 heads with adjustable cartridges.
Serrated cartridges can carry standard HELIFACE and TANGFACE adapters for different diameters and standard HFPR and TNF inserts in widths of 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm.
Two cartridges and adapters can be mounted on the same head and adjusted to the same diameter, or each can be adjusted to a different diameter to create one wide groove or two separate grooves in a single penetration.
The tool can be also operated with one cartridge only.
This type of modular standard system will annul or minimize the need for special expensive trepanning tools.
Typical applications can be found in related aerospace, oil and gas, hydraulic valves, construction beams and general engineering industry sectors.
Trepanning operations can replace large diameter drilling applications providing a significant reduction in machining power.
